How to manage Prospects with Accounts (prospects at the same company)

With Mailshake's Accounts feature, you can associate your prospects with their relevant account, organize your accounts and view activity across a specific account. This makes it easier for your team to get a status check on a specific account you're targeting, view activities done on a specific account, and focus on the best leads for any particular account.

Note: Tasks are available on the Sales Engagement Plan. Check out this guide to upgrade.

Accounts will be created alongside prospects. Each time you import prospects and specify which account or company that prospect is associated with, we will create and account or associate that prospect with an existing account. Additionally, you can:

  • View all your accounts on a dedicated page with high-level information
  • Go into each specific account, view its associated prospects, and dig into what activities were taken on each prospect and in the account

Assign prospects to an Account

Mailshake makes it easy for you to assign prospects to an Account. When importing your CSV, just map the Company or Account name to the Account field.

Handling Prospects that didn't get assigned an Account

If the prospect didn't have a company name, Mailshake won't be able to assign them an account. However, you have two options to fix this:

  1. Double-check your CSV and make any updates (fill in the company name for the prospects) and import again. Don't forget to select "Add and Update" under Strategy when importing fields to make sure everything is updated.
  2. Manually assign a Prospect to an Account

Manually assign a Prospect to an Account

Sometimes you might not have had the company name or Account for a prospect when you imported. That's okay! Here's how you can assign a prospect to an Account:

  1. On the Accounts page, click Associate Prospects in the blue bar that indicates the prospects that haven't been associated with an account.

  2. In the list of prospects, click on the Prospect that you want to associate with an Account
  3. On the Prospect's record, click Edit
  4. In the Account field, start typing in the name of the Account.
    1. If the account exists, you can select it from the list and click Save. You're done!

    2. If it's a new account, click New Account. You'll see the Account Name field appear on the line below. Enter the Account Name and click Save.

Viewing an Account

On the Accounts page, use the search bar to search for an account or scroll through the list to find the account and click the Account to open the Account record.

Pause campaign for all prospects in an Account if one person replies

Mailshake's lead catcher makes it easy for your to pause all prospects in an account if one of the associated prospects replies. Just select the Pause all other prospects from the same account on the Lead Catcher settings when creating your campaign or by going to your Campaign's settings.

Note: Prospect must be associated with the Account or have the same email address for this condition to apply.
