How does Apple iOS affect tracking?
Many people are concerned about how iOS data privacy features will affect their campaign open rates and link tracking.
From what we've seen since iOS 15 was introduced in 2021, the impact is minimal. iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac users must be using Apple Mail and have the new privacy protection enabled to prevent open tracking. With the proliferation of mail apps and accessing email by browser, the number of prospects impacted is small.
How much of an impact can I expect?
A small number of prospects may not register opens when they open your email. For the majority of prospects, opens will be tracked.
Mailshake's Link Tracking is not impacted by these new rules as the link is tracked when the prospect clicks on the link and the link opens a new browser page.
