How to use our AI writing tool, SHAKEspeare AI
SHAKEspeare AI is Mailshake's built-in cold email generator. It creates a complete 6-email cold outreach sequence based on your business, the problems you solve, and your success stories. The sequences are built from data and insights of over 1 billion cold email campaigns and are designed to increase reply rates by up to 40%.
AI is incredibly helpful, but it's not perfect. Think of the generated emails as strong first drafts. You'll likely want to review and edit them before sending.
How to access SHAKEspeare AI
SHAKEspeare AI is available directly from the Tools section of your Mailshake account.
- Log in to your Mailshake account.
- Click on Tools in the left-hand navigation menu.
- Find the SHAKEspeare card and click Try Now.

Once you click Try Now, SHAKEspeare walks you through 3 quick steps to generate your email sequence.
Step 1: Describe your business
On this screen, tell SHAKEspeare about your product or service. There are two ways to fill this in:
- Homepage URL (Optional): Enter or paste your website URL and click Analyze. SHAKEspeare will automatically pull a description of your product or service from your site. You can edit the result as needed.
- Product/Service Description: Type your description manually in the Describe section what you sell and what makes it valuable. Be as specific as possible for the best results.
When done, click Continue to move to Step 2

Step 2: Share your success stories
This step is where you add social proof. SHAKEspeare uses this to build credibility into your emails.
Case Studies & Results field: In the Share Your Success Stories section, share real results you have achieved for clients. Include specific numbers, percentages, or outcomes where possible. For example: "One client grew their customer base by 250% in under two years" or "We helped a BDR generate over $100,000 in revenue from a single campaign."
Note: The more specific your inputs, the more personalized and effective the generated emails will be.

Step 3: Review your generated email sequence
Once SHAKEspeare finishes, you will see your complete 6-email cold outreach sequence. Each email includes:
- A goal description explaining the purpose of that email in the sequence
- A day indicator showing when it should be sent (Day 1, Day 6, Day 12, Day 18, and so on)
- A subject line ready to use or edit
- An email body with basic personalization merge tags already included
- A copy button to copy that individual email to your clipboard
- A campaign tips section at the bottom with best practices to help you get the most out of your sequence
At the top of the results page, you will also see an Import to Mailshake button. Use this to send your entire sequence directly into a Mailshake campaign with one click.
What to do with your results
-
Option 1: Import to Mailshake
Click the Import to Mailshake button at the top of the results page to load the full 6-email sequence directly into a new campaign. This is the fastest way to get your sequence live.
-
Option 2: Copy Individual Emails
Click the Copy button on any individual email to copy just that email to your clipboard. You can then paste it into a campaign template or edit it further before using it.
-
Option 3: Start Over
If the results don't match what you were looking for, scroll all the way down and click on Create New Campaign to start over. Try adding more specific details in your product description or including more concrete numbers in your success stories, then generate again.
Tips for best results
- Be specific in your product description.
- Include real numbers in your success stories. Percentages, timeframes, and dollar amounts make the AI-generated emails more credible and compelling.
- Review all 6 emails before importing. The AI provides strong drafts, but personalizing the tone and details for your specific audience will improve performance.
- Replace placeholder text. After generating, look for fields like [Your Name], [Your Title], [Your Company], and [URL] and fill them in before sending.
- Use fallback text in your merge tags. When adding personalization variables, always include a fallback value so your emails still make sense if a prospect's data is missing. For example, instead of {{first}}, use {{first:Hey}} so it defaults to "Hey" if no first name is available.
Note: SHAKEspeare is currently offered in English. We hope to expand this in the future.
